A native of Mexico City and part of a musical family, she studied Drama, Literature, and Theater at UNAM where she participated in different stage, film, and television projects. She emigrated to the USA in 1999 to raise her family and in later years she has been singing, playing in a rock band, teaching Spanish and writing for Chicago’s Contratiempo magazine, later becoming an editorial board member. In 2015, she was invited to participate in the staging of Aguijon’s The House of Bernarda Alba and has been collaborating with the company ever since. An ensemble member, some of her credits with the company include Romeo and JulietNocturnal Creatures, and A House of Her Own.
