Oliver Aldape

Born in Mexico and raised in Chicago, Oliver is a great theater lover and all types of art. He has a bachelor’s degree in Theater arts with a concentration in acting from Columbia College Chicago. He made his stage debut at Aguijón Theater in 2008, where he also joined and has served the company in multiple tasks. He is currently also a member of the board of directors of Aguijón Theater.
Among his numerous credits for this company, some of his highlights are: The Respectful Prostitute-A Theatrical Concert, by Jean Paul Sartre; Epopeya, by Abel González Melo, Monday Falls on León Rodríguez, by Raúl Dorantes; Orchids in the moonlight, by Carlos Fuentes; Antigone, by Sophocles; Eréndira, by Juan Ramírez, inspired by texts of Gabriel García Márquez; Empty Chalices, by Judy Veramendi; Blowout, by Guadalís del Carmen; The Virtuous Burglar, by Dario Fo.
In 2010 Oliver traveled with Aguijón Theater to participate in the XXII International Theater Festival Mujeres en escena por la paz in Bogotá, Colombia, with the acclaimed play Las Soldaderas, by Oswaldo Calderón, inspired by the journalistic essay Soldaderas, 100 years of Adelitas by Elena Poniatowska; also participating with this same work in the V International Festival of Latin Theater, at the Goodman Theatre.
Parallel to his theatrical career, Oliver is the agency director and a talent agent at Lily’s Talent Agency, a prestigious talent agency in Chicago.
