Ms. Manalo is a Real Estate and Hospitality professional with 17 years of experience in the industry. Adora is currently the Director of Owner Services and Executive Committee Member of the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago. She has held this position for the past 6.5 years and prior to the opening of the property. In her position, Adora oversees the Residences and is the liaison for owners in the Residences, Hotel and Retail units. She is responsible for coordinating all Board meetings and is the direct contact for members of the various Boards. As an Executive Committee member, Adora is part of the leadership team for the hotel. Adora’s previous positions involved managing condominiums throughout the city of Chicago ranging in size from 40 units to 540 units, including historic to new construction properties. Adora holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an Illinois Real Estate Sales License and the Illinois Community Association Manager’s License. A Filipino-American, Adora joined the board in 2006.

Dr. Vargas is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Early Childhood Education and Social Sciences Department at St. Augustine College in Chicago. Dr. Vargas earned a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from DePaul University, Chicago. Dr. Vargas’ research interests lie in examining policies, services and programs that impact the educational opportunities of bilingual students. She is a former member of the Chicago Board of Education (1990-1995). Dr. Vargas is an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Illinois Early Learning Council, Multilingual Chicago, the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI), the World Organization for Early Childhood Education (OMEP), and the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE). Dr. Vargas has participated in and made presentations on topics related to bilingual education at various conferences at the local, state, and national level. Originally from Colombia, Maria is a founding member of Aguijón Theater and joined its board in 2000.
Mrs. Townsley has worked for GE Capital Americas for 11 years. She is currently the Manager for the Agency Services Desk in Lending Operations. Berni’s team is responsible for settling and processing all trading activity on GECC Admin Agented deals as well as closing of GECA’s Smart Partners program syndications. They work closely with GE Risk, Capital Markets and Smart Partners Central teams. Her team is located in Chicago, Norwalk and Jaipur India. Berni has been leading this team for the past 5 years. Prior to this, she was a Team Leader for the Credit Risk Administration team, CRA and Collateral Analyst. Berni has over 14 years of operations experience. Prior to joining GE she was a Revenue Specialist at Paragon Solutions and Money Controller at Sanwa Bank. Originally from the Philippines, Berni joined the board in 2006.
Mr. Loza, originally from Bolivia, is an educator and counselor at St. Augustine College in Chicago. Wilfredo joined the board in 2009.

Mr. Yanacopulos is an artist and actor. Originally from Chile, Augusto is a founding member of Aguijón and joined its board in 2000.

Mr. Aldape is a Chicago-based actor and a casting agent at Lily’s Talent in Chicago. Oliver joined the board in 2013.
